Sermon Text: Acts 2:36-47

Sermon Purpose: To call the hearer to practice the congregational disciplines that make, mold, and multiply disciples.

Sermon Proposition: There are 7 essential practices for effective discipleship in the local church.

 

I.          The practice of dynamic life changing evangelism. V.36-39

“Biblical evangelism is the process of sharing the gospel with the lost and winning them to Christ, thereby enabling them to enter the Kingdom of God.”

 

II.        The practice of dynamic Christ centered discipleship. V.40-42a

“Discipleship is a life long journey of obedience to Christ that transforms a person’s values, behavior, and focus for life, and results in ministry in one’s home, church, and the world.”

 

III.       The practice of dynamic body building Christian Education. V.42b-43

IV.       The practice of dynamic love for one another fellowship. V.44
