- To provide networking, fellowship, vision, and resources for Christians of all denominations in dance and movement ministry.
Our Objectives:
As dancers and interpreters in drama, we have a calling to be signs, symbols and instruments to the people of God. We are to manifest his character in every step that we dance and gesture that we make as we dramatize. In our ministry of Christian Performing Arts, God does not call us to performance of rituals; he calls us to praise, worship and to surrender to him totally in every area of our lives. For this we are to give him glory and honor.
Our Purpose:
These bylaws are created to assist the effective and efficient governance of the DLBM Christian Performing Arts Ministry in fulfilling its current, stated mission.
Many forms of pageantry, dance and drama can be used to glorify God. We use interpretive movement, pageantry, drama and lyrical which allow techniques for personal emotion.
We believe our mission is to effectively minister to others. When we minister with a clear message, we are able speak to others for their strengthening, encouragement, and comfort. As Praise Dancers, and actors we must also learn what God’s word says. This spiritual understanding combined with technical training prepares us to minister for the Lord.
As a team and as a church, we desire that a spirit of excellence be upon all that we do. And while technique is important, ultimately, it is our heart and attitude towards the Lord that will be of the greatest determining factor in the level of anointing that we operate under. If we have no anointing, we have no power, and there will be no fruit! Our desire is that we be the best that we can be for the Lord so that He will be glorified and magnified as He flows through us in dance and drama
